From Stockholm to Belém – Why water must be central at COP30

Pang Ung National Park,thailand
COP30 in Belém, Brazil, comes at a decisive moment* for our planet. After years of commitments and declarations, the world is now judged by what it delivers. World Water Week 2025 made one thing clear: climate action will only succeed if it is built on water. Every dimension of resilience — from mitigation to adaptation and just transitions — depends on how we manage and protect our shared water resources.

Held each August in Stockholm, World Water Week is the leading annual event for global discussions on water, climate, and development. It brings together experts, decision-makers, and communities from around the world to share knowledge and shape collective solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
